To better inform physician workforce policy, the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) has partnered with researchers at RAND to develop a new physician workforce projections model. Using a system dynamics methodology, this new model represents a leap forward in scope, flexibility, and potential. In this webinar, the AAMC and RAND will present an introduction to this exciting new work, including: an overview of the new model, its methodology, structure, and capabilities; a brief history of its development and evolution; a look into ways this work overcomes limitations of some past workforce projections; preliminary results. and a vision for the future of this work.
