This webinar, Innovative State Workforce Projections Models, will highlight how states have used workforce projection models to understand and forecast healthcare workforce needs. Presenters will demonstrate how these tools integrate state-level data to assess supply, demand, and emerging gaps across key healthcare occupations. Using examples from Virginia and North Carolina, the session will illustrate how these models have been used to identify regional shortages, anticipate future demand for high-need roles, and support planning for training and recruitment initiatives. Speakers will showcase the use of dashboards and health workforce data visualization tools to access and understand health workforce data for the United States and for North Carolina and Virginia. Participants will gain practical insight on how to use these tools to strengthen their healthcare workforce strategies and improve workforce preparedness.
This webinar is presented in conjunction with the AcademyHealth Health Workforce Interest Group (HWIG).
